Room Service è la serata prodotta e promossa dal Room26 per IPM 2011, con una line up di assoluto pregio che oltre a Karizma prevede all’ambita consolle del Room26, già culto per i dj di mezzo mondo, Ricky Birickyno e Spellband. Gli ospiti di IPM 2011 alloggiati presso lo Sheraton Golf Hotel & Resort saranno coccolati da un “servizio in camera” molto speciale per l’occasione che prevede il trasferimento gratuito dall’Hotel al Room26 per godersi la serata leggeri e spensierati!
Room Service is the event produced and promoted by Room26 for IPM 2011, with a very prestigious line-up. At the consolle of Room26, a cult for the DJs of all around the world, not only Karizma but also Ricky Birickyno and Spellband. The guests of IPM 2011 who will stay at the Sheraton Golf Hotel & Resort will be spoiled by a very special “Room Service” including a free transfer from the Hotel to the Room26 to enjoy the evening, light-hearted and carefree!
ROOM26
Il progetto Room26 nasce a Roma da un gruppo di imprenditori accomunati da una lunga amicizia, smisurato amore per la musica, il ballo, l’arte e con lunghe esperienze nazionali e internazionali di successo nell’intrattenimento musicale e artistico.
L’Idea e’ stata da subito creare qualcosa che a Roma non esisteva, raccogliendo il meglio in giro per il mondo aggiungendoci passioni, visioni, ossessioni.
Un investimento importante per un luogo unico; questo e’ stato il “Leitmotiv” che ha animato la progettazione e la realizzazione del Room26.
Tenacia, perseveranza e sforzi disumani hanno completato l’opera.
Le attività di successo sono basate sulla corretta “interpretazione” dei frequentatori.
Il nostro obiettivo è creare un ambiente che soddisfi il mutevole gusto e le aspettative dei clienti, con una costante attenzione ai loro bisogni e alle diverse esigenze.
Le idee alla base del progetto sono due: qualità e comunicazione.
I materiali di costruzione, le attrezzature, gli arredamenti, le forniture, le materie prime sono selezionate secondo rigidi criteri qualitativi e funzionali mentre la comunicazione si muoverà su diversi binari “artistici”. Una carrellata di linguaggi che vanno dal visivo al sonoro, dalla proiezione cinematografica al concerto, dalla mostra al dj set.
Room26 si trova all’Eur, quartiere concepito e costruito in occasione dell’Esposizione Universale che avrebbe dovuto tenersi nella Capitale nel 1942 Il progetto del quartiere è ispirato all’urbanistica classica romana con apporti del Razionalismo Italiano.
Room26 è una location di 1800 mq in cui trovano posto la “Global Room”, la “Live Music Room”, lo “Spazio Espositivo d’Arte Contemporanea” e il “Ristorante”.
Concepito per valorizzare in modo assoluto l’elemento Suono, prende il nome dai “26” amplificatori d’ultima generazione CROWN , alloggiati appunto nella “room26″ il cuore del progetto, il nostro orgoglio.
Room26 si propone come contenitore aggregativo in cui i frequentatori possano fruire di eventi legati all’arte, alla cultura, alla musica e in cui verranno svolte attività di formazione che avranno come principale obiettivo quello di creare un vero contatto con il potenziale creativo dell’artista a prescindere dalle esigenze dettate dal Mercato dell’Arte e della Musica.
KARIZMA
Dj Karizma nasce a Baltimora, nel Maryland (Stati Uniti). Il suo debutto musicale di inizia a 13 anni, con i primi dischi che girano per i party dei college e per alcune sfilate di moda.
Poco dopo inizia a condurre una trasmissione radio per la WEAA Radio del college di Baltimora, in cui trasmette musica hip-hop. Contemporaneamente suona house in tutti i club della città.
Entra in contatto con Dj Spen, con il quale lavorerà insieme per Radio V103. Questo incontro fa sì che Karizma partecipi all’album “Jasper street company album” intervenendo nella canzone E.B.W.2.R.T.W (Everybody wants 2 rule the world) e creando il drum programming della canzone “Temptation”.
Poco dopo il duo “Spen&Karizma” inizia a lavorare alle canzoni: “Tommorrow” di Kim English, “Beautiful” di Mary J Blige , “Let me show you” di Kenny Bobien e “Thank you” di SuSu Bobien’s.
Spen & Karizma (in seguito “Basement Boys Productions”) hanno effettuato remix di artisti del calibro di: Everything but the girl, Amira, Lenny Kravitz, Ann Nesby, Ron Carroll, Roy Ayers, Boris Dlugosh, Bob Sinclar, Kathy Brown, Jocelyn Brown, Ministers de la funk, ecc.
Karizma ha anche fondato la sua etichetta personale: “Kohesive Productions” con la quale ha prodotto “Samma Ganni.” Le sue produzioni hanno ottenuto apprzzamenti da artisti di grande rilievo come Louie Vega, Simon Dunmore, Dj Spinna, Marquis Wyatt e Tony Humphries.
RICKY BIRICKYNO
Personaggio poliedrico e trasversale, nasce a Sanremo nel 1970 ed inizia la sua carriera come dj professionista a soli 15 anni nei locali storici di tutta la Costa Ligure e la Costa Azzurra.
Nel 1988 partecipa al campionato italiano D.M.C./Rap e nel 1993 vince il premio Bybloscar a Riccione come miglior dj emergente italiano. Grazie al suo stile originale “ai piatti” e alla sua giovane età, dal 1990 al 2000 diventa il più giovane dei Top Dj house italiani, uno dei più rappresentativi e seguiti, diventa un punto di riferimento per i teenager più cool e stravaganti, quei clubber e trendsetter che hanno segnato un’epoca e hanno dettato le mode di un intero periodo.
Con il suo stile musicale stravagante, un mix di house, deep, garage and electro, diventa il dj resident, e lavora nei migliori club house italiani, quelli che hanno fatto la storia del nightclubbing italiano.
Ha all’attivo diverse produzioni e remix, che hanno scalato le classifiche internazionali.
Come autore, compositore ed editore musicale, ha oltre 400 brani depositati con label storiche come Sal Soul, Wakko, Irma, ZXY e con major come Sony e Virgin.
SPELLBAND
Andrea Drappi, Giuseppe Surace e Vins Massaro, meglio conosciuti come Spellband o altri pseudonimi come Blackroosters, Hi-phazers, 10TH solution, hanno iniziato la loro carriera nei primi anni Novanta come Dj nei club e nelle radio.
La band è nata ufficialmente nel 97 ed è proprio in quell’anno che ha avuto luce il loro primo disco. Successivamente hanno iniziato una carriera di produzioni e remix affinando e migliorando notevolmente il loro sound di volta in volta e collaborando con le più importanti etichette mondiali come Sony, Strictly Rhythm e 4TH floor di NY, Vinlysoul di Chicago, Generate Music (Deep Swing) Los Angeles e le italiane Irma, Rise, Equal, Hole etc.
In qualità di Remixer hanno collaborato con artisti del calibro di Michael Watford, Sabrina Johnston, Lisa Millet, Loleatta Halloway, Dawn Tallman, Wendy Lewis, Deep Swing, Kenny Carpenter, Bini e Martini, Joe t Vannelli, Tony Humphries, Dj Spen e molti altri.
Il loro sound è notevolmente influenzato dal Soul, Funky e Jazz, al quale si ispirano tuttora. Attualmente hanno diversi progetti in uscita. Per quanto riguarda la loro attività di dj, il loro set è caratterizzato dal fatto che suonano tutti e tre contemporaneamente e gran parte delle loro proposte di notevole impatto sul dance floor sono inediti o di prossima uscita.
Il loro prossimo obiettivo è aprire un’etichetta discografica dove poter produrre le sonorità in cui credono. Attualmente stanno collaborando con Tony Humphries e nel loro studio a Roma ospitano Kenny Carpenter per le sue produzioni discografiche.

The Room26 project is born in Rome thanks to an entrepreneurs group united by a long-lasting friendship, an endless love for music, dance, art and long national and international successful experiences in the field of music and art entertainment.
The idea was to create something that in Rome did not exist, collecting the best around the world, adding passions, visions and obsessions.
An important investment for a unique place; it was the “Leitmotiv” of the project and realization of Room26.
Great tenacity, perseverance and efforts crowned it.
The successful activities are based on the correct “interpretation” of the audience.
Our aim is to create an environment satisfying the changing taste and expectations of our clients, with a constant attention to their needs and requirements.
The basic ideas of the project are two: quality and communication.
The building materials, the equipment, the furniture, the supplies, the raw materials are selected in accordance to rigorous standards of quality and functionality.
Communication will involve many “artistic” tracks. A lot of languages, from the visual to the sonorous ones, from the movie projection to the concert, from the exhibition to the DJ set.
Room26 is in the Eur quarter, conceived and built on occasion of the Universal Exhibition that was scheduled in Rome in 1942. The quarter’s project is inspired by the classic urban structure of Rome with some contributions of the Italian Rationalism.
Room26 is a location of 1,800 m² where there are the “Global Room”, the “Live Music Room”, the “Contemporary Art Exhibition Centre” and the “Restaurant”.
Conceived to bring out absolutely the element Sound, its name is originated from “26” state-of-the-art CROWN amplifiers, that in the “room26″ are the heart of the project, our pride.
Room26 intends to be an aggregative container where the event-goers can enjoy art, culture, music; where many training activities will be developed and whose main aim is to create a real contact with the creative power of the artist, aside from the requirements of the Art and Music Market.

KARIZMA
Dj Karizma is born in Baltimore, Maryland (U.S.A.). He was 13 years old when he made his début, with the first records played at the colleges’ parties and fashion shows.
A little while later, he started a broadcast for WEAA Radio of the Baltimore college, where he broadcasted hip-hop music. At the same time he played house in all the town’s clubs.

RICKY BIRICKYNO
A many-sided and versatile artist, Ricky Birickyno is born in Sanremo in 1970 and at the age of 15 he started his career as a professional DJ in the historical clubs of the Ligurian Coast and Côte d’Azur.
In 1988 he took part to the D.M.C./Rap Italian Championship and in 1993 won the award Bybloscar in Riccione as the best upcoming Italian DJ. Thanks to his original “cymbals” style and due to his young age, from 1990 till 2000 he became the youngest of the Italian house Top DJs, one of the most symbolical and appreciated, a reference point for the coolest and extravagant teenagers, clubbers and trendsetters who marked an epoch and laid down the laws of fashion of a whole period.
With his extravagant music style, a mix of house, deep, garage and electro, he became the resident DJ, and performed in the best Italian house clubs, that did the history of the Italian nightclubbing.
Ricky Birickyno made many productions and remixes, that headed the International charts.
As an author, composer and music editor, he has more than 400 songs registered with historic labels as Sal Soul, Wakko, Irma, ZXY and with some majors such as Sony and Virgin.
SPELLBAND

The band is officially born in 1997, the same year of the birth of their first record. Then, they started a career of productions and remixes refining and improving their sound more and more. They collaborated with the greatest labels of the world such as Sony, Strictly Rhythm and 4TH floor in NY, Vinlysoul in Chicago, Generate Music (Deep Swing) Los Angeles and the Italian ones, such as Irma, Rise, Equal, Hole, etc.
As Remixers, they collaborated with very important artists as Michael Watford, Sabrina Johnston, Lisa Millet, Loleatta Halloway, Dawn Tallman, Wendy Lewis, Deep Swing, Kenny Carpenter, Bini and Martini, Joe t Vannelli, Tony Humphries, Dj Spen and more.
Their sound is influenced by Soul, Funky and Jazz, to which it is inspired now too. Today they have many projects that should be released soon. With reference to their DJ’s activity, their set is characterized by the fact that they play at the same time and most of their proposals have a great impact on the dance floor and are not yet released or are going to be released.
Their next aim is to open a label to produce the sounds on which they believe. Now, they are collaborating with Tony Humphries and in their studio in Rome have Kenny Carpenter as a guest for his productions.
