PROMOTERS UNVEILED by Jos Kottmann
YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION
Jos Kottmann, who has exhibited in Paris, Basel and Amsterdam, is a versatile Dutch photographer who has the great talent of being able to capture the authentic depth of whoever is in front of his camera.
In his series 'You Are My Inspiration' he profiles the kinks of house music. Since 2007, Kottmann has been travelling the world to photograph our contemporary heroes. In this time he has photographed around 60 big names in the world of house music. With his portraits Kottmann conveys the true person behind the DJ.
The images are open and honest and have a raw edge, while the black and white tones assure an optimal focus on what Kottmann believes to be a person's essence: the eyes.

The artist Jos Kottmann together with IPM 2012 launched a special project named 'Promoters Unveiled'
The idea merges the IPM mission of bringing us up close with the figure of the promoter and putting it in the spotlight.
Born in IPM 2012, the project will be carried on during the year, catching the core of the promoter who is usually hidden behind the event or festival he organizes.
The result /output of the artistic research will be unveiled during the next IPM 2013 edition.
